Nostalgia for the future is a film based on the life and works of Chris Marker. A documentary essay on memory, history, nostalgia and the way images of the past shape our future. From the inheritance of Marker, Nostalgia for the Future examines what an archive can tell us about the person who created it and asks the question of whether we can really know someone through his work.
