L’Accademia della Follia, la compagnia teatrale creata negli spazi dell’ex Ospedale psichiatrico di Trieste dall’attore e regista Claudio Misculin nei primi anni settanta, ha viaggiato in tutto il mondo in numerosi e applauditi spettacoli. Per oltre 40 anni Claudio Misculin è stato il maestro, il condottiero, la guida dei suoi mattatori, matti di mestiere e attori per vocazione. Con la sua morte improvvisa il 21 settembre del 2019 il suo gruppo rimane appeso a un filo. La creazione del nuovo spettacolo è la sfida che i matt-attori devono affrontare per portare avanti “la follia del teatro e il teatro della follia”, a cui Claudio ha dedicato tutta la sua esistenza.
The Accademia della Follia, the theater company created in the spaces of the former psychiatric hospital of Trieste by the actor and director Claudio Misculin in the early seventies, has traveled all over the world in numerous acclaimed shows. For over 40 years Claudio Misculin has been the master, the leader, the guide for his madmen for job and actors by vocation. With his sudden death on September 21, 2019, his group remains hanging by a thread. The creation of the new show is the challenge that the mad-actors must face in order to carry on “the madness of the theater and the theater of madness”, to which Claudio has dedicated his entire existence.
